History

In April of 1915, thirty two interested men founded the Blue Ridge Country Club. Within three months of organizing, both nine holes of golf and a clubhouse were operational. T.N Black was appointed the club's first professional and the story of Blue Ridge Country Club began.

From modest beginnings, this club grew in number and size. With numerous land purchases the club had an eye toward expansion that, finally, in 1990 came to fruition with the addition of nine holes, stretching the golf course to nearly 6700 yards. The golf course as it is today is a challenge for players of all skill levels and makes for a wonderful destination for members as well as being ideal for corporate events and outings.

Wanting to modernize, in 2002 the club moved out of the original clubhouse to a state-of-the-art facility that features excellent views, dining, member service and a varied social calendar. This facility also features Men's and Ladies' Locker Rooms, Golfers Equipment Area as well as meeting rooms. This gem of a home is both functional and inviting and has become the centerpiece for activity at Blue Ridge Country Club.
